AusNet Services worked with Tilt Renewables to connect the Salt Creek Wind Farm to the National Electricity Market.
The Salt Creek Wind Farm is located 5km south of Woorndoo, in the Western District of Victoria, Australia.
The wind farm comprises 15 wind turbines and produces 54MW of electricity – enough clean energy to power approximately 30,000 homes each year.
AusNet Services built, and now owns and operates approximately 50.5km of 66kV transmission line that connects to the Terang Terminal Station.
Construction of the Salt Creek Wind Farm commenced in September 2017 and was completed in July 2018, with the transmission line complete in June 2018.
